No, Taylor Swift Wasn't Carried Out Of Her Apartment In A Giant Box

Calm down, Swifties. Taylor Swift wasn't carried out of her New York City apartment in a giant black box and transported into a van.

Bloggers simultaneously scratched their heads on Monday (July 17) when photo agency Splash News uploaded photos of men carrying a bulky black box from the pop titan's apartment with a rather questionable caption. "Taylor Swift being transported in a huge suitcase from her Tribecca apartment into her truck, in the trunk," the caption read. Yes, we also know they the agency failed to spell the NYC neighborhood correctly.

After word spread of the suspect photo and accompanying caption, Splash News retracted the story in a statement to SPIN. "I literally just put the phone down from someone on Taylor’s camp," a Splash representative told the outlet on Tuesday. "We're having to actually retract that."

Still, it's not like we haven't seen Swift choose rather, erm, unusual methods to avoid the paparazzi. Remember that time that she walked backward in high-heeled wedge boots to avoid cameras?
