Harry Styles Helps Gay Fan Come Out During San Jose Concert

Harry Styles has made his North American tour a joyous statement about human rights. In Dallas, he covered his guitar with anti-gun violence stickers, in Philadelphia he waved a "Make America Gay Again" flag during Pride Month, and on Wednesday (July 11), he helped a fan come out to her parents.

A girl by the name of Grace was in attendance at the Former One Directioner's San Jose concert at SAP Center. She held up a sign that said "I'm going to come out to my parents because of you." After asking for her consent, the pop star read the message out loud to the crowd. He asked her name, where her parents were, and what her mom's name is (it's Tina). He then had everyone get quiet so Tina could hear him yell all the way from her hotel. "Tina, she gay!" he exclaimed before having the whole arena chime in. Grace got the whole incredible experience on camera. Watch below.

After the show, Grace gave an update about her mom's reaction when she showed her the video footage.

"I SHOWED MY MOM THE VIDEOS FROM TONIGHT. SHE IS OVERJOYED AND SAYS THAT 'YES I DO LOVE YOU AND YOU CAN BE WHOEVER YOU WANT TO BE' SHE WANTS TO THANK HARRY FOR HELPING ME COME OUT and she has decided to come to LA Night 1 with me :)" she wrote on Twitter alongside a photo of her mom holding up her phone and giving a thumbs up with a big ole grin on her face.
