Drake Releases New “Fire in the Booth” Freestyle

It seems Drake has been in the spotlight nonstop since his recent highly publicized beef with fellow rapper, Pusha T. Just two weeks ago, the Canadian rapper delivered his much anticipated two-sided, 25-track album, Scorpion. The project has already broken records becoming the first album to rack in more than 1 billion streams in a single week and Apple Music's record for single-day streams.

It seems Drake refused to stop there and has a lot more on his mind to say. While on a promotion tour for Scorpion in the U.K., the former Degrassi star stopped by BBC Radio 1Xtra’s Rap Show with Charlie Sloth to deliver a new "Fire in the Booth" freestyle.

Earlier this week, the British DJ Charlie Sloth, teased Drakes performance, writing, "All the best rappers in the UK done it. I need the best rapper in the world to do this."

In the freestyle, Drake opts out of singing to any Kiki's, but instead dedicates his lyrics to defending his large ego and measuring his success.

“Y’all keeping the score while watching me score / Y’all keep the awards, I’ll take the rewards,” Drake states. “If y’all going for fun, I’ll stay and record / But if y’all goin’ to war, I’m there for sure / Wouldn’t miss it.”

He also seems to throw in a jab at Kanye West and Pusha T, referencing his beef earlier this year.

The only skeletons here are the ones from the nights that I raised hell / Make sure the staff are paid well / Make them think twice about the stories that they tell / No one knows when the plan is hatchin'I'ma make them walk on eggshells / Tiptoe, niggas better know.

Check out the freestyle below.
