Travis Scott's Team: We Didn't Know Trans Model Was On 'Astroworld' Art

Contrary to what was originally shared, Travis Scott's night version of his cover art for his new album, Astroworld, doesn't feature famed transgender model Amanda Lepore, but the rapper had nothing to do with the edit, as per TMZ.

On Friday (August 3), TMZ reported the final version of Astroworld's artwork was exactly what Travis received from photographer David LaChapelle and it didn't include Lepore's appearance near the left side of the rapper's mouth. The explanation combats any accusations of transphobia against the hip-hop titan, which started to spread once the revised artwork was shared.

Nonetheless, the famed model wasn't mad at the edit, laughing off the scandal and joking that she was too good looking to include in the final LP cover. LaChapelle also insisted that her omission had "nothing to do with hating," but has yet to clarify why she was axed from the image. If Travis received the cover directly from LaChapelle, the edit was assumingly done on the photographer's behalf. Scroll on below to see the original night version, which was posted on Instagram.

Astroworld serves as the follow-up to 2016's Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight and includes a number of guest appearances like The Weeknd, James Blake, Stevie Wonder, Pharrell, John Mayer, Thundercat, Quavo and more.
