Inside Kanye West's Hometown Return To Chicago

Kanye West lived his best life while in his hometown of Chicago. On Sunday (September 16), the "Lift Yourself" rapper shared photos and videos from his trip back home, and it's safe to assume Mr. West has not been this happy in a while.

While in Chi-town, Ye hung out with Rhymefest, who he previously had beef with. As fans know, back in May, the two had a falling out over Kanye's involvement with their charity Donda's House, which was named after the rapper's late mother Donda West. While their spat got so nasty the charity's name was changed from Donda's House to Art of Culture, the two have seemingly made peace as Kanye shared a video of Rhymefest meeting former NFL star Jim Brown to his Instagram on Saturday (September 15). He then posted a group photo of the three of them, and a few others, with the caption, "Great meeting."

Reconciliation wasn't the only thing on Kanye's Chicago to-do list. He also made time to get back into the studio. While home he hung out with local artists as well as one of Chicago's favorite hometown heroes, Chance The Rapper. The longtime friends and collaborators were spotted at the Avalon Regal Theater alongside Ye's wife, Kim Kardashian

Ye also shared a video of him showing off his city, and specifically the house he grew up in, to his wife and daughter, North West. Included in the short clip, was a preview of a live recording session, and video of Ye being greeted by a Chicago motorcycle club.

Kanye's trip to the windy city comes days after his return to Instagram. Just last week the "All Mine" rapper shared his first IG post, which featured a beautiful scenic shot of the Colombian mountainside. He later posted a series of sketches that seemed to hint at his future projects.
