Mike Thalassitis has died at the age of 26.

The Love Island star, who appeared on the British reality show in 2017, was found dead at his home in Essex on Friday (March 15), according to multiple reports.

Mike's death was confirmed by his management team. His cause of death has yet to be released.

According to the Daily Mail, his body was found "in the woodland area" near his home. His sudden death comes months after his best friend Danny Cutts' passing.

The gossip site also reported that "Mike was struggling to come to terms with the death of his grandmother," who passed away this month. He had reportedly moved in with the 94-year-old after her health began deteriorating and became her a full-time caregiver.

Mike also appeared on Celebs Go Dating in 2018, and was a semi-pro soccer. Following news of his death many of his Love Island co-stars expressed their grief on social media.

"I genuinely can’t believe what I’m seeing here. My boy from the villa and one of my best mates from the show coming out," Johnny Mitchell, one of Mike's Love Island co-stars, wrote on Instagram. "An absolute hero and a legend and someone I looked up to since I met him, always full of so much positivity and charisma.. One of the best people I’ve ever known taken from us far too soon, I’m heartbroken and can’t put into words how much I’m gonna miss you bro! My heart goes out to his family.. Rest in peace Magic Mike ❤️."
