Baker: Critical Time Ahead-- Non Essential Business Closed Til May 4th

As expected, Governor Baker has amended his week old executive order requiring all non-essential workers to close through April 27th.

The Governor says with the surge in this state expected to hit by the middle of April, the Governor has extended the order to May 4th .

According to the latest prediction models, the surge is expected to hit somewhere between April 7th and 17th.

Meantime, revenue experts say that the Governor, while managing a healthcare crisis, is also going to have to deal with a budget that could suddenly be out of budget between 2 and 3 billion dollars.

Although the Governor did not update the latest Covid19 numbers, the Massachusetts Health Department is expected to do that later today.

The Governor says there continues to be an ongoing crisis and people need to stay at home and abide by social distancing.
