Zayn Malik Goes Shirtless In Music Video For New Slow Jam 'Better'

Zayn has returned with a silky-smooth new single.

The One Direction alum unveiled the music video for his latest record, “Better,” the first track on his yet-to-be-titled third studio album. On the suave R&B track, Zayn sings of finding peace and closure after getting out of an emotionally taxing relationship with a former flame.

“Still in my mind sometimes, I must admit it/ Like it's a crime on trial, I got acquitted/ Me and you wasn't meant, we wasn't fitted/ Like it's a glove, I hated to admit it,” he sings in the voyeurstic visual, which finds the 27-year-old walking around his home shirtless as men in black watch from a distance with binoculars.

“Better,” co-written by Zayn, marks his solo offering release in almost two years following the arrival of his sophomore studio album, Icarus Falls (2018). He teased the song’s release earlier this week, just hours before taking to social media to announce the birth of he and girlfriend Gigi Hadid’s first child together, a daughter.

"Our baby girl is here, healthy & beautiful," he tweeted with a picture of them holding their baby girl’s tiny hand. "To try put into words how i am feeling right now would be an impossible task. The love i feel for this tiny human is beyond my understanding. Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine, & thankful for the life we will have together x.”

Prior to unveiling “Better,” Zayn has made several featured appearances on other artists’ tracks, including on R3hab’s “Flames,” Sabrina Claudio’s “Rumors," SHAED’s “Trampoline” and with Zhavia Ward on “A Whole New World.”
