Is there anything more romantic than asking the universe to help you find love? Craig Sullivan threw 2,000 bottles into the sea along the British coastline to look for a new soulmate after his wife died. Sure, the chances of really finding love that way are pretty slim, but we suspect Sullivan didn’t expect to be criticized for it.
Turns out, a woman named Helen Gill was out walking on the beach and found about 30 of Sullivan’s bottles. They didn’t exactly warm her heart. In fact, they made her quite angry, prompting her to send a message to Sullivan to ask him to stop.
"I would ask you to think of another more environmentally friendly way of carrying on with your campaign," Gill wrote. "When visiting our beaches you should leave only footprints."
