Wisconsin is famous for its cheese so when it came time to send help to Houston, they started collecting cheese.
About two dozen cheese companies, along with the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board, are sending 17-thousand pounds of cheese to the Houston Food Bank in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. They're also sending 300 pounds of butter.
"It's a very small thing for us to do with what they're facing, but let's face it: cheese is comfort food. It makes you happy," an organizer of the dairy donation explains. "So, if we can bring a little bit of happiness to the folks down there, then that's what we want to do."
