- Almonds - Packed with vitamin E, they’re not only a healthy snack, but great for your skin. Snyder calls vitamin E the “skin-beautifying antioxidant” and says it creates smoothness and suppleness.
- Beets - It’s the powerful antioxidants in beets that help fight signs of aging and keep skin firm and youthful, according to Snyder.
- Chia Seeds - They’re full of fiber and minerals and they fight free radicals, too. Plus, Snyder says they have the perfect balance of essential fatty acids that give that “glow” we want.
- Figs - This fruit’s tiny seeds are full of nutrients that help cleanse the digestive tract of toxins and mucus, which she says allows nutrients to get to your skin to enhance your inner glow.
- Lemons - Snyder advises her clients to start the day with hot lemon water to “detoxify the body by helping your digestive system and liver eliminate waste quickly.”
- Pineapple - It improves digestion, reduces inflammation, and removes toxins from the body while helping in the production of collagen, so pineapple is a “wonder food” for skin.
- Spinach - It’s packed with vitamin C, which helps build and maintain collagen.
- Medjool Dates - These are high in fiber as well as copper, which helps the body absorb iron and form collagen and red blood cells.
- Sweet Potatoes - Their “magical skin-brightening combination” of Vitamin A and Vitamin C can improve a lackluster complexion.
