Celeb-Approved Self Care Tips

We know we should make “me time” a priority, but our busy lives don’t stop and it’s easy to push self-care to the bottom of the to-do list. But the thing is, the more hectic life is, the more you need to take care of yourself. Maybe it’s just a face mask or a long shower, but you need to make time for yourself. Take some inspiration for self care from these celebs so you can switch off and find your zen, too.

Lucy Hale - Solo time. The star of “Pretty Little Liars” believes self care is “necessary so that you can be the best for everyone else around you.” She likes spending time alone outside hiking or meditating to feel spiritually recharged. “I highly recommend treating your mind, body and spirit right (and taking a solo getaway)," the actress says .

Emma Watson - Taking a bath. The star enjoys the simple pleasure of a soak and also uses the time to be productive, even taking calls in the tub. "I have a bath every single day of my life,” Watson shares. “And if I can have two or three - amazing."

Gisele Bündchen - Meditation. She’s learned to “stop, relax, and take long, deep breaths” to recharge, enhance focus and improve patience. And the model says of meditation, “The quieter you become, the more you can hear.”

Selena Gomez - Taking a hiatus. Sometimes you need a break from everything to regroup and recharge. When the superstar was struggling with mental health as part of her lupus diagnosis, she spent time at an inpatient facility for her anxiety and depression. "It was the best thing that I ever could've done," Gomez says of the experience. "I had no phone, nothing, and I was scared. But it was amazing, and I learned a lot."

Lea Michele - Exercise. The singer and actress knows what’s good for the body is good for the mind too. She likes exercising outdoors in nature, enjoying hiking and yoga. Michele explains, “The better I feel, the better I can perform." And we couldn't agree more.
