An act of kindness has brought two neighbors on different sides of the political spectrum together during the election. Someone stole Tim Place’s Joe Biden sign from his yard in Washington County, Wisconsin and he received a replacement from a surprising source - a Trump supporter.
A few days after his sign disappeared, Place’s neighbor, Josh Schoemann, went out and got a new one for him. “I thought, ‘that’s just not right,’” he explains. “Although we are Trump supporters, we love our neighbors and want them to be able to exercise their freedom of speech just like everybody else.”
The neighbors had never met, but the good deed brought them together for the first time. When Place got to thank Schoemann for the new sign, he told him, “We would do the same for you.” They’ve shown that people are more important than politics and they say they’re glad that something positive came out of this.
