Teen Saves Toddler From Drowning

A 13-year-old boy in Georgia used the skills he learned in years of swimming lessons to save a drowning toddler’s life. Randy Brown was swimming at a pool in Henry County when a mom started screaming that her son was at the bottom of the pool.

He swam down to the bottom and pulled the two-year-old boy up to the surface, where other lifesavers took over. People performed CPR and were able to revive the tot after the frightening experience.

Randy is now more thankful than ever to be an experienced swimmer. “If I didn’t do what I did right there, he might not be here today,” the teen explains. “I just thank God that everybody was there and that we had trained, certified professional CPR people there.”
