Guy Not Permitted Entry To Phillies Game With A Emotional Support Alligator

See ya later, alligator. A man was refused entry to a Philadelphia Phillies game recently when he showed up to see the team take on the Pirates with his emotional support alligator. Joie Henney, who says the gator helps him battle cancer and depression, wanted to enjoy the game with his scaly friend, Wally, Wednesday night.

Unfortunately, Wally didn’t fall under the jurisdiction of “Guide dogs, service animals, or service animals in training.” However, the reptile became an instant internet star with people pleading online with Citizens Bank Park to let Wally in to see the game. Henney, a longtime reptile rescuer, says there’s no reason to be afraid of his little buddy as he’s sweet-natured and enjoys giving hugs.
