After 40 years, a woman has been reunited with her long-lost lunchbox – something that she hadn’t seen since her school days.
A plumber was working recently at an elementary school in Roanoke, Virginia, when he made a startling discovery – a metal lunchbox featuring the orange cartoon cat character Heathcliff.
nside, was a thermos and a tag with the student's name – Tracy Drain – who appeared to have been in Mrs. Curry's class in Room 30.
Thanks to a posting on social media, Tracy learned that her lunchbox, which had been lost in 4th grade, had been found.
"I think it’s amazing," said Tracy. “It's very interesting to be able to see it. As far as remembering it, I do not, but it has my mom's handwriting, which I'll treasure right here."
