A 24-year-old mother in Helsingborg, Sweden, was found guilty of harassment after cracking an egg on her five-year-old daughter’s forehead during a TikTok livestream in February. She said it was part of a popular social media trend and didn’t mean to hurt her daughter.
The court didn’t agree, saying the act was not okay, even if meant as a joke. She was ordered to pay about $75 in fines and around $750 to her daughter for causing distress. The case got attention because of the viral “egg crack challenge,” where parents smashed eggs on kids’ heads for views.
