Last week, Massachusetts Girl Scouts donated nearly 14-thousand boxes of Girl Scout Cookies to U.S. service members. The initiative was part of Project Care and Share and involved more than 17-hundred Girl Scouts from Central and Western Massachusetts.
The cookies were loaded onto trucks in Westfield and sent to Barnes Air National Guard and the USO for distribution to military personnel. Five of the region’s top cookie sellers got to help with the loading effort. The donation included over 11-hundred cases of cookies collected as part of the scouts’ annual efforts to support others.
