Residents of one neighborhood in Van Nuys, California are finally going to get some relief after months of loud noises from one of their neighbors.

Gary Boyadzhyan, the man accused of blasting train horns and alarms from his home, has been arrested after months of complaints from fed-up neighbors. The sounds, especially the train horns which could reportedly be heard up to three miles away, were going off multiple times a day, disturbing sleep and peace around the neighborhood.

Boyadzhyan claims the noise was his way of getting the LAPD’s attention over a personal grievance. He’s floated various explanations, including unverified claims of being targeted by organized crime and law enforcement. He told reporters, "I need help. I don’t know how else to cry out for it."

Neighbors say the disruption started back in May and only got worse. One resident described it as "living next to a train station with no schedule." That changed on Wednesday when LAPD officers arrived at his house and arrested him. Charges have not yet been announced. He's due in court on September 8th.
