Sunday was a wild day for one Florida family as they woke up to find their property suddenly invaded by raccoons.
Richard Klerner says the chaos was caught on home surveillance footage and it looked like the raccoons were throwing a party. He says, "They were on the steps, in the jacuzzi -- three of them splashing around.
They ate all the cat food, spilled water bowls, and scared our cats half to death.” He and his wife counted at least eight raccoons around the house. Some invaders came in through the kitty door. Klerner says it was so bad that he called 911, and the Florida Wildlife Commission for help with removing them. He hopes it was just a one-time visit, but he's taking some preventative measures, like shutting the kitty door, to make sure they don't come back.
