Police in Connecticut have pretty much seen it all, but this one was a real head-scratcher.
State troopers were called out to Interstate-91 near Hartford during the morning commute after receiving reports of two men on the side of the road trying to steal a giant road sign. When troopers arrived, they found the enormous highway sign loosely strapped to the top of a white pickup truck and two men inside about to drive away with it.
The suspects, identified as 42-year-old Andrew Scott Lampkin and 46-year-old Jonathan Riopelle, were arrested and charged with third-degree larceny, reckless use of the highway as pedestrians, and improper parking. It's unclear what they intended to do with the stolen sign.
