A Virginia ABC liquor store store crew found a surprise in the store bathroom and called authorities. Officers with the Hanover County Animal Protection and Shelter were called to the Ashland ABC store and found the raccoon passed out after it ransacked the store and got wasted.
The responding officer safely secured the "very intoxicated raccoon" and took it to an animal shelter to recover. After resting for several hours and showing no signs of injury, the raccoon was released back into the wild.
