Selena Gomez Debuts Meaningful New Neck Tattoo: See It Now

Celebrity Sightings in New York City - January 14, 2020

Oops!… She did it again!

Selena Gomez is having the time of her life getting tatted up these days. Early Thursday morning (January 16), the musician unveiled yet another work of body art to her fans, this time with a new design on her neck. In a video shared to Instagram, the 27-year-old gave her followers the first glimpse at her latest ink just behind her ear on the right side of her neck, which now boasts the word “Rare.”

“Did it again,” the “Lose You to Love Me” artist wrote with a butterfly emoji and a clip of her wearing a tie-dye sweatshirt as the camera pans at her new ink, which was done by the artists of Bang Bang Tattoo in New York City. With upwards of 2 million likes on the pic, it’s clear Selenators approve.

The illustration was without a doubt inspired by Gomez’s long-awaited third studio album, Rare, which officially arrived last week four years after releasing her last project, 2015’s Revival. This isn’t the only tattoo she’s gotten since marking her new album era.

Ahead of the weekend, the vocalist debuted another significant tattoo to commemorate her the date she underwent her life-saving kidney transplant as a result of her battle with lupus, presumably in June 2017. The ink — first teased in her “Rare” music video — is that of the number “6,” which appears on the backside of her right arm. In case you missed it, see it again here
