Taylor Swift & Joe Alwyn Share A Rare Moment Of PDA At 2020 NME Awards

Throughout their relationship, Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn have kept a very low-key profile, but it seems the stars are getting a little more comfortable with public displays of affection.

During London's 2020 NME Awards on Wednesday night (February 12), the pop titan, 30, and the actor, 28, were filmed at their tables in the audience sharing a sweet kiss. They also hugged when Swift was announced as the winner of Best Solo Act. The two have seemingly become more relaxed with the idea of stepping into the public eye as a couple after they appeared together at last month's Golden Globes, as well at the New York premiere of Cats.

Swift spoke her relationship with Alwyn in her Netflix documentary, Miss Americana, which dropped in late January. "We decided together we wanted our relationship to be private," she said during the film. “Even though it [Swift's public image in 2016] was really horrible, I was happy. But I wasn’t happy in the way I was trained to be happy. It was happiness without anyone else’s input. We were just…happy."

As for Alwyn, the Harriet actor told The Sunday Times in 2019 that he doesn't mind that his superstar girlfriend's references him in her music. Asked about the singer's dedicated love songs to him, he said, "No, not at all. No, it's flattering." Elsewhere in the interview, the actor admitted that "99.9 percent of what the press write about them is false," including the news story about Swift having a private jet that she uses to fly to him whenever she wants. "I just don’t pay attention to what I don’t want to pay attention to," he continued. "I turn everything else down on a dial. I don’t have any interest in tabloids. I know what I want to do, and that’s this, and that’s what I am doing."
