The penultimate night of Hanukkah 5780 brought more celebration and yet another cover song from Dave Grohl and Greg Kurstin.
The Foo Fighters' producer and the band's frontman have been celebrating the Festival of Lights by highlighting the diverse contributions Jewish artists have made to music over the past 60 - 70 years.
Kurstin and Grohl's latest collaboration is a cover of The Knack's "Frustrated."
"Tonight we’re featuring 4 nice Jewish boys whose biggest hit was a song about a nice Jewish girl… 'My Shalom-a' or something like that... We’re huge fans of New Wave (as well as the 'old wave' that came after Moses parted the Red Sea)…so we were psyched to get to cover one of our favorites…The Knack!"

Ahead of the 'Hanukkah Sessions' series, Grohl explained that he wanted to try something different during a time of year in which he typically covers a Christmas tune. Being that Kurstin is Jewish, Grohl was enthusiastic about exploring other great Jewish musicians.
So far the two-man band has issued renditions of classic songs by The Beastie Boys, Drake, Mountain, Peaches, Bob Dylan, Elastica and now The Knack.
It's clear by now that Grohl and Kurtsin are comfortable attempting any style of music, so there's no telling what they'll come up with for tonight!
