KFC does not deal with homophobia as seen by the recent termination of an employee who was captured on-camera calling drive-through customers a "f*king queer."
As per WAND TV, Joshau Garner and his partner, Lee Walls, went to the fast food chain in Springfield, Illinois to pick up an order via DoorDash and were met with a restaurant employee who started throwing out homophobic slurs. "We’re really gay. You can’t do that. You’re gonna lose your job. I hope you know that," one customer replied. The pair told the outlet that they’d like everyone involved in the scenario, including the manager, to be fired.
Authorities were called to the restaurant, where a report was filed. No additional information has been revealed as to whether an investigation will take place. "The behavior of the team member in this video is completely unacceptable, and the team member has been terminated. The franchisee who owns the restaurant has been in touch with the guest regarding this incident and offered an apology," KFC said in a statement.
