Benny Blanco is making sure Selena Gomez gets to experience all the major milestones she may have missed growing up in the spotlight.
During a recent appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, the record producer revealed to host Jennifer Hudson that he surprised his fiancé for his own birthday celebrations by treating her to the prom she never had, per People.
"Selena had never been to a prom before, so I thought I'd throw us a prom for my birthday," he said.
Because of this, Blanco pulled out all the stops, planning a special dance for his 37th birthday that the "Scared Of Loving You" singer could attend and even getting her a corsage.
Gomez also appeared to have the full "getting ready for prom" experience many teens face as the 32-year-old Rare Beauty founder struggled to find the perfect outfit for the occasion.
"She didn't even know, she was like, 'What am I supposed to wear? What am I supposed to do?'" Blanco recalled. "It was like she was really going to prom."
While Blanco enjoyed his own high school prom experiences when he was younger, going once with a group of his friends and another time with a girlfriend, it seems that third time's the charm, telling the audience, "honestly, my favorite prom was with my partner."
Gomez and Blanco got engaged in December 2024 after more than a year of dating, but it nearly didn't go as planned. Blanco recently revealed how his proposal was nearly ruined and how the Gomez almost didn't show up for the big moment.
