Black Parents Talk to Their Kids About the Police

In most American households there's never a family meeting on how to handle an encounter with a police officer. In white America most kids learn that cops are the good guys and are there to help. If you're lost, look for a cop. If you're in trouble, call the police. And of course this is overwhelmingly the case.

But if African American homes children are taught just how careful they need to be if they cross paths with a police officer. This video shows a few example of just what that looks like. And sounds like.
