A lot of bad things can happen to a takeout pizza on the way home—sliding cheese that ends up on one side of the box, misplaced toppings and spilled sauce. A literal hot mess! It seems that the angle of your car seat may be the culprit and The Kitchn website has a simple solution—just use a soda bottle to prop up and even out the placement of the box by sticking it into the gap between the box and your seat.
It seems this ‘hack’ is already well known by pizza delivery drivers, as one of them offered the same solution on Reddit and another one suggests keeping a 2 X 4 in your car for the same result. Now you know—always a perfectly balanced pizza with the toppings where they are supposed to be.
