Solar Powered Halloween Display Wowing Neighbors in Western Mass

North Adams homeowner Nathan Samson has been collecting Halloween and Christmas decorations since he was 12 years old.

His family has a long tradition of holiday decorating, which has been passed down through the generations into Nathan’s hands.

“It makes me happy that I can make other people smile and brighten up the mood during this really hard time,” said Samson.

The display is on each night throughout the week from 6 p.m. until 11 p.m. and doesn’t skyrocket the home’s electricity bill. In fact, it costs nothing to power the display because it is completely solar powered, as well as the entire home.

Folks are invited to visit the home at 1356 Church St. in North Adams. The only requests are park on the street and to not walk off of the driveway while viewing the display.
