Baby Owl Discovered in Ugly Rockefeller Center Tree

The Rockefeller Christmas tree took a bit of beating on this page yesterday, and for good reason. Most folks are optimistic that with some hard work and creativity, the tree will turn out well. But nobody saw this coming.

The Rockefeller Christmas tree in New York is displaying a feathered ornament. A tiny Saw-whet owl was discovered in the tree recently and is believed to have traveled with the Norway Spruce. The bird is alive but wildlife officials say the owl looked to have not eaten for three days. The good news is that the owl is recovering and was fittingly named "Rockefeller."
