Daughter Takes Second Job at Nursing Home to See Her Father

Lisa Racine wanted to spend more time with her 87-year-old father, Harold, so she took a second job working at his nursing home.

Now she’s working some nights and weekends at Good Samaritan Society - Stillwater, in addition to her full-time job as a project manager for a printing company. Her side hustle isn’t glamorous, she’s mopping floors and scraping plates in the kitchen, but she’s thrilled to get to see her dad after her shifts.

Harold says seeing his daughter walk into the nursing home was “one of the happiest days of my life.” And Lisa says she could be taking a yoga class or going to a happy hour, but she’d “rather come clean dishes” so she can see her dad.
