Cheese has a reputation for being fatty, gooey...and totally bad for you. But the reality? Research says eating cheese basically has no effect on weight gain and doesn’t have the detrimental effects that have given cheese a bad name in the nutrition world.
A more recent study in found that cheese actually contributed to weightloss and increased dairy consumption overall increased the level of lean muscle and decreased the amount of body fat.
So how did the bad rap get a grip? It’s processed foods and those with added sugars are the real reasons for the weight gain. So feel free to enjoy your cheese!
