A Massachusetts teenager with autism is getting to fulfill a lifelong dream after receiving an invitation from Disney to march with the Magic Kingdomâs Main Street Philharmonic. Luke Berry loves marching bands. The Mansfield 16-year-old has asked for musical instruments for every birthday and Christmas since he was two. "We actually built a shed out back to keep them all in because they do not fit in the house anymore," says his mom Jill Barry.
Each year Luke leads family, friends, and neighbors in a Christmas parade through their neighborhood that he calls the Walnut Street Unicorn Marching Band parade. This yearâs parade was extra special because while all his friends and neighbors looked on, Luke received a special invitation from Walt Disney World. "Since you love music as much as we do, we'd be honored if you would join us and march with us through the Magic Kingdom. See you real soon!" players with the Main Street Philharmonic say in a video message.
