If you happen to cross the Buckman Bridge in Jacksonville, Florida keep your windows up and sunroof closed.
On Wednesday afternoon drivers sitting in traffic near the bridge were swarmed by bees. Hundreds of the pollinators landed on vehicles stuck in traffic and freaked some people out.
It turns out, the bees were being transported in an open air truck…which is normal. Because the traffic was down to a crawl, the bees decided to investigate their surroundings. Exhaust fumes may have played a role too.
