At one estate and gardens in the Berkshires you have the option to stay overnight in the tower of a building that’s been affectionately called the “Gingerbread House.”
The Gingerbread House’s 80-ton asphalt shingled storybook roof is its most striking feature, Santarella’s website stated, while a cluster of other neighboring buildings designed in the same storybook-inspired theme were also created by Kitson including a cottage and a detached tower.
Guests to Santarella can also stay in two other buildings overnight on the property — Kitson’s historic farmhouse and the detached tiny tower — both available to book through Airbnb, along with the Gingerbread House tower.
