The city of Philadelphia needs lifeguards for the summer pool season, and theyโre apparently pretty desperate. The cityโs Parks & Recreation Department told Philadelphia Magazine that theyโre open to applicants that donโt know how to swim. Yes, for a lifeguard job.
The department says theyโll give any applicants that need them free swimming lessons at a local high school. The pay starts at $16 per hour with around 35 hours a week on the clock for anyone that can swimโฆor canโt.
