The city of Philadelphia needs lifeguards for the summer pool season, and theyโ€™re apparently pretty desperate. The cityโ€™s Parks & Recreation Department told Philadelphia Magazine that theyโ€™re open to applicants that donโ€™t know how to swim. Yes, for a lifeguard job.

The department says theyโ€™ll give any applicants that need them free swimming lessons at a local high school. The pay starts at $16 per hour with around 35 hours a week on the clock for anyone that can swimโ€ฆor canโ€™t.
