A Minnesota Restaurant Is Combatting A Worker Shortage With A Robot: The Midtown Tavern in Moorhead, Minnesota has some new help on the wait staff. Robot server "Bella" provides service with a smile - a happy cat smile that's programmed on her screen.
The robot is able to navigate the restaurant floor using a programmable map. A manager says he's been dealing with staff shortages for the past couple of years and Bella has been a welcome addition. Nick Lefort says “You know, she actually becomes part of the family… it’s kind of how it ends up being. She’s very useful and very user-friendly as well.”
