Airline food has gotten a bad rap for about as long as commercial air travel has been around, but if passengers on a recent British Airways flight had any issues with the meal they were served, they could take it up with KFC. Flight 252 from Turks and Caicos to London hit a small snag after takeoff when the crew realized some “unforeseen circumstances” involving the in-flight food service and decided they could not serve the meals.

The 12-hour flight included a layover in the Bahamas, so while the plane was refueling at the gate, the crew went on a KFC run. They picked up enough fried chicken and sides for every passenger on the plane. Travelers also received a voucher to buy food once they arrived in
