Sounds fishy… 3D-printed salmon is currently being stocked in Austrian grocery stores – and people are into it! The CEO of the Revo Food tech startup says of the vegan offering, “We are not just creating a vegan alternative; we are shaping the future of food itself.”
The “salmon” is made up fungi (mushroom) and packed with essential amino acids and vitamins, according to the food’s creators. It also contains no sugar, gluten, or cholesterol. So, how’s it selling? The Frankensalmon is already sold out online and currently ships to Austria and Germany. They’ll start shipping to the rest of Europe next month.
