Is this a good idea or should it have waited?
New Orleanians Krystal Hale and Robert Lind had to put their wedding plans on hold because of the coronavirus, but their loved ones found a way to celebrate with them on their would-be wedding day. The couple’s big day had been set for April 5th, but after postponing their nuptials, her sister/Maid of Honor called and told them to come outside.
They found their house had been decorated up like, “Tangled,” with a caravan of cars honking at them. Then everyone got out of the cars and did a flash mob dance – while safely staying at least six-feet apart from each other. The bridesmaids even wore their coordinating dresses and the dance was coordinated by the Maid of Honor and was set to a song from their favorite childhood movie, “Can’t Hardly Wait.”
Krystal says the surprise made it the “best non-wedding day ever.” Even though they couldn’t get out there and hug their friends and family, she says this brought them closer together, adding, “It was the most thoughtful gift I’ve ever received in my life.” Now the couple plans to say “I do” in a socially distant street wedding on April 19th.
