6 year-old Sophia Myers felt like people just weren't stepping up enough to give money to help local healthcare workers. “I know a lot of people aren’t giving money, so I was like, ‘Okay I can give some money and get this process started so this coronavirus can be done,’” the kindergartner says.
She decided to give her unicorn bank and the $14.70 inside to neighboring Grandview Hospital. It may not sound like much but it spurred an entire campaign that has now raised over $60 thousand.
