Sam and Joann Reck had gotten used to being separated due to the Coronavirus pandemic, but once Joann tested positive and the end was near, Sam insisted on see his longtime wife and saying goodbye. Three weeks later, he passed away from the Covid-19, which he almost certainly contracted from his wife.
Sam daughter explained that there was nothing on earth that could have kept him from making that visit. His son asked him if he had any regrets about going to see her in her final days and Sam said, "Not on second."
