A pair of pups tied the knot in a fundraiser for a South Carolina animal shelter. Sassy and Sparrow walked down the aisle with help from Greenville County Animal Care and local event planning businesses. The newlyweds’ nuptials benefit the shelter’s “Have a Heart” fund, which provides heartworm treatment to shelter dogs.
“Sassy and Sparrow fell head over tails in love and are tying the knot today. But life has not always been easy for this happy couple,” the shelter explains. “At one time, both were in a shelter and suffered from heartworm disease. Heartworms can be a barrier to adoption and that makes Sassy and Sparrow sad.”
