Man Holds His Breath For Over 24 Minutes

Budimir Buda Šobat a 54-year-old Croatian man broke his own world record for holding your breath underwater for 24 minutes and 33 seconds. He hyperventilated on pure oxygen for a few minutes before he began his attempt and says he uses that part of his training to deal with the involuntary muscle spasms that happen after holding your breath for about 18 minutes.

He was inspired by his 20-year-old daughter Saša who has cerebral palsy, autism and epilepsy, and to help raise money to rebuild the region, which was devastated by an earthquake in December.
