When you’re turning 106, you should get to celebrate your birthday any way you please, right? A woman in the U.K. who recently reached this milestone had her birthday wish come true and it’s a little NSFW. Norah Shaw told staff at her nursing home that she wanted a “hunky man” for her 106th birthday. So that’s exactly what she got.
Norah’s daughter, Gill, delivered a nearly naked waiter for her mom’s party. She hired Eddy Betteridge, a 32-year-old performer from the Butlers in the Buff agency to make her mom’s birthday wish come true. And he did not disappoint as he served sandwiches, scones and bubbly sporting only an apron and bowtie. “I was very shocked when he turned around, because he had no underwear on. It was quite amusing,” Norah says. “I had to keep checking, so I asked him to get some sandwiches.”
The great-grandmother says it was the first time she had ever seen a butler in the buff before and she was most impressed that Eddy didn’t have any hair on his chest, commenting, “I had never seen anything like it.” Norah, who lived on her own until she was 105, has been treated to fun birthday outings before, once in a stretch limo and another year in a yellow Rolls-Royce. And this year, along with the hunky man, she also received 200 birthday cards from around the U.K.
She says she had a marvelous party, but one thing she still refuses to do is give up the key to her longevity, explaining, “I can’t reveal the secret of how I lived so long, or it won’t be a secret.
