Strangely, the most popular food at the Big E this year may be a vegetable! Yes, it's the year of the pickle.
Pickles in their simplest forms — on a stick, in a bucket to take home, or deep fried — have long been on the menu. Then last year came two heavy-hitting pickle derivatives: the Dilly Dilly Dog — that’s a large dill pickle with its core removed, stuffed with a hot dog and deep-fried — and the Pickle Pizza.
The only thing missing is Pickle Ball! Oh well, there's always next year!
