An Alabama dog breeder got a shock when he found that his French bulldog gave birth to a bright green puppy. Mark Ruffin’s dog Freya was supposed to give birth by C-section but delivered her puppies on her own, and while one didn’t make it, the rest were fine.
Ruffin says he thought the puppy needed to be cleaned, but the color has stayed. Amazingly, green-colored Frenchies are born, even though it doesn’t happen very often. It supposedly occurs when puppies interact with green bile while developing in the womb.
