Polls are closed for voting, but online voting has just begun for USA Today’s Top10 Best Readers’ Choice Travel Awards for “Best Public Holiday Lights Display.”
Bright Nights at Forest Park has been nominated for the fourth year, and the Spirit of Springfield is calling on its fans, followers, area residents, and relocated residents to vote for Bright Nights at Forest Park. Votes can be cast daily through Friday, December 16, 2022, at 12noon here.
“For many people,” as stated on the website, “the holiday season isn't complete without at least one night spent driving around looking at the colorful lights. Our contributors and editors combed the nation for the 20 best, brightest, and most beautiful holiday light shows put on by neighborhoods, cities, and parks, and now it's your turn to help us select the Best Public Holiday Lights Display. The top 10 winning events, determined by your vote, will be announced on Friday, December 16. Read the official Readers' Choice rules.”
“We want to make it known that Bright Nights at Forest Park is truly a holiday experience worthy of the top spot,” said Spirit of Springfield President Judy Matt. “We will be launching our 28th season on November 23rd with more than 675,000 lights along the three-mile drive.”
