Don't complain about a 25% tip. A DoorDash driver in Texas delivered a $20 pizza to a woman and was not happy with her $5 tip. As he turned to walk away from the house, he said to her, "I just want to say it's a nice house for a $5 tip." The woman was shocked and replied, "You're welcome!" The driver then responded with an expletive before walking away. The exchange was captured on the woman's doorbell camera, and she posted it on TikTok (WARNING: Language. Clean version below) with the caption, "So how much should I be tipping for a $20 pie?"
A DoorDash spokesperson confirmed that the driver has been fired and added, "Respectfully asking for a tip is acceptable but abusing or harassing someone is never acceptable." Most commenters expressed the same surprise over the driver's behavior, but there were some who criticized the woman for posting the video on TikTok and ultimately getting him fired.
